Why Move Across the Country for OIT?

Why move across country for OIT?
The only doctor in our state that participated in OIT was 4 hours away. This would be 8 hours of driving every week plus appointment time. I would have to find someone to watch my 3 girls, too. I homeschool all our kids and so this is a lot to ask, of our dear friends (though they are amazing and would have helped in a heartbeat!) We have watched Dr. Jones' progress as he has introduced OIT into his practice. My father has closely watched it and went to Dr. Jones' informational meeting. My mother's cousin also attends Dr. Jones' practice and had good things to say. We decided that it would be best for our family to have the help of my parents and to go with a doctor we felt comfortable with, despite it means that the kids won't see their dad for months at a time. The sacrifice will be worth it!
